Join experienced ORDIT Trainer, Phil Hirst for his ‘How to…’ series of online Zoom Workshops aimed at enhancing practical teaching skills on your everyday driving lessons.

Each course: Online Workshop via Zoom

Duration: 90 minutes - £25

When: Every fortnight starting 24 January 2024 from 7.15-8.45pm

Why choose to participate in this ‘How to…’ series?

Taking place fortnightly, these workshops are for PDIs, ADIs and Trainers who are eager to make their training sessions more interactive, productive and enjoyable. They will be ideal preparation for Part 3 tests and Standards Checks too.

Each 90-minute session will contain:

  • A short introduction (content, goals, outcomes)
  • Presentation and discussion
  • Short video examples (most workshops)
  • Delegate Q&A
  • Look forward and online CPD certificates

What can you expect?

Before each workshop you will receive the main course presentation points by email. You are encouraged to make your own notes as a personal record of the session. The notes will allow for reflection and implementation of the outcomes in your driving lessons.

Your Trainer

Phil has been training PDIs, ADIs and their Trainers for nearly 30 years. He’s built a reputation as a trusted, knowledgeable and experienced ORDIT trainer who achieves results with his clients. He delivers in an easy-to-understand and practical way.

How to participate?

Each 90-minute session will be online via Zoom. You will require a PC, laptop or tablet with reliable internet connection, camera and microphone.

You are encouraged to make notes as each session progresses. They will be your personal record of lessons learned on each session, to then apply in your driving lessons.

  • 20 March 2024 - Making MS,PSL an indispensable part of your teaching
  • 3 April 2024 - Ensuring your lesson plan always meets your student’s needs
  • 17th April 2024 - How to take the ‘risk’ out of risk management
  • 1 May 2024 - When to teach, when to coach and when to be quiet
  • 15th May 2024 - How to teach Emerging, Roundabouts and Meeting traffic well
  • 29th May 2024 - How regular assessments achieve faster results
